What a broken storefront actually takes
A storefront lite is not something anyone keeps on a shelf. It is typically quarter-inch tempered glass in an aluminum frame, made to that specific opening, and tempered glass has to be manufactured at final size because it cannot be cut once it has been tempered. So a break is always two visits: secure the opening now, install the permanent glass when it arrives.
That is why we board up first and then give you a real date rather than a vague one. On a busy Raleigh retail street the board is the expensive part, so the honest thing is to tell you the lead time at the outset and hold to it, not to promise same-day glass that no supplier can actually produce.
