Older Raleigh windows and newer ones fail differently
Inside the Beltline you still find original wood sash with single-pane glass, often held in with glazing putty. Replacing a broken pane there is a different job from a modern window: the old putty has to come out, the glazing points are reset, and the new pane is bedded and puttied back in. It is slower work, it is worth doing properly, and it keeps the original sash rather than replacing a window that is otherwise sound.
Newer Raleigh housing has sealed double-pane units, and those fail the way everyone recognizes: a haze between the panes that no amount of cleaning touches, because the moisture is sealed inside where you cannot get at it. That is a failed edge seal, not dirty glass, and nine times out of ten the frame is in good shape and we replace only the unit.

Do you replace window glass in Raleigh?
