Glass Company in Chapel Hill, NC
Older houses, odd openings, glass made to the opening you have.
Glass Services in Chapel Hill.
Maven Glass is a full-service glass company serving Chapel Hill, NC, with 33 years of glass experience. Shower doors and enclosures, window glass and failed sealed units, custom mirrors, storefronts and commercial doors, emergency board-up and auto glass. Licensed and insured, working out of our shop in Morrisville.
We measure and install. The glass is fabricated to our measurements by the manufacturer, which is why the measure appointment matters: tempered glass is made to final size and cannot be cut or trimmed afterward. Send a photo and rough dimensions and we can usually quote right over the phone.
What to expect
Call or send a photo and rough dimensions and we can usually give you a quote right over the phone. We call within 24 hours to book your critical measure, and that appointment comes with a one-hour arrival window instead of a half-day of waiting. Your glass is then made to exact dimensions, quality-checked on arrival, and installed clean.
Chapel Hill openings are rarely a standard size
Chapel Hill has a lot of older housing, and older housing means openings that were built rather than ordered. Walls that are out of plumb, curbs that are not level, window sashes in sizes no manufacturer stocks, stair openings that are one of a kind. Very little of it matches a size on a shelf, and that is normal here rather than a complication.
That is the work we are set up for. We measure the finished opening at several heights, check what the walls and the curb are actually doing, and have the glass made to those numbers. We do not cut corners on the measure because there is no fixing it afterwards: tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled or trimmed once it is made.
Our services page lists everything we do, or go straight to shower enclosures, window glass, mirrors or commercial glass.

Common Questions
Chapel Hill questions, answered.
Do you come out to Chapel Hill?
Yes. Chapel Hill is part of our regular service area and we work across Orange County. Older homes there often need glass made to a non-standard size, which is exactly how we work: measured to your opening, not ordered off a shelf.
What kinds of glass work do you do?
Shower doors and enclosures, window glass and failed sealed units, custom mirrors, storefronts and commercial doors, emergency board-up, and auto glass. We measure and install; the glass itself is fabricated to our measurements by the manufacturer. Licensed and insured, with 33 years of glass experience.
Can you quote without coming out?
Usually yes. Send a photo and rough dimensions and we can give you a realistic quote over the phone. The exact price is confirmed after the critical measure appointment, because glass is made to final size and cannot be adjusted afterward.
